Sylvester Ani for CA-38

Sylvester Ani Jr was born in Inglewood and raised in Cerritos. He has a degree in psychology from Azusa Pacific University. He is the founder of The Love We Don't See, a nonprofit dedicated to improving education and economic mobility in marginalized communities through programs such as computer programming, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and social emotional learning programs.He is an active movement leader at Sunrise Movement Los Angeles and is dedicated to stopping climate change and creating millions of Good Jobs. He founded Project No New Slaves, which advocates for the abolition of slavery exception in the 13th amendment. His advocacy led to a coalition with other organizations and State Senator Sydney Kamlager introducing ACA-3, The California Abolition Act, which aims to remove slavery & involuntary servitude from our state constitution.

His "Health and Wealth" solutions for North Orange County and South LA County are rooted in Solidarity and uplifting the most marginalized in our communities. He focuses on re-imagining community safety, strengthening mental health and care, providing good union jobs for all, Healthcare and Education for All, Housing as a human right, and a bold Green New Deal that will solve current climate injustices.
